Amateur Boxing Championships Results

Sizinda South Beer Garden played host to the National Amateur Boxing Championships. The event brought boxers from across the country to trade leather in front of a massive crowd that braved the chilly weather.

Ayanda Mbambo from team Sikhulile beat stablemate Washington Mande 3-0 i n a Points Decision (PTS) in a paper weight match while Clement Ndebele also from Sikhulile got the better of Lot Dzikiti from Bulawayo West in a Fly weight catergory.

Nketa Club's Romeo Ngwenya won 3-0 in a Bantum Weight match against Oleen Moyo also from Nketa. Brian Dube of Sikhulile got knocked out by Thabo Dube of Tshaka in a Light Weight match.

There were victories for team Airforce when Tawanda Tennis and Siphiwe Shumbayaonda got the better of Truth Ganara and Buhle Ncube in Middle weight and Fly Weight respectively. The opponents were from Nketa and Bulawayo West respectively.

Divine Jiyane from HQI Brigade was beaten by Ndabezinhle Phiri of Lobengula team 3-0 in a Fly Weight match whilst Valen Chakanya of Airforce suffered the same fate at the hands of Yvette Dube of Bulawayo West in Bantum Weight catergory.

David Mugoma of Airforce beat Bongani Ndlovu of Tshaka in a Lightweight match and Kevin Dliwayo of Team Impact lost to Welldone Hlabangana.

Zibusiso Nyoni of Nketa beat Nqobani Guyo of Young Arts in a Light Weight match and then Lloyd Mujibilikwa from team Gwanda got the better of Collen Zidumbu of team Airforce in another Light Weight catergory match.

Lwazi Moyo lost 0-3 to Almighty Moyo in a Welter Weight match whilst witness Sibanda overpowered Courage Denga of Young Arts in a Middle Weight encounter.
