Highlanders technical manager, Madinda 'Khathazile' Ndlovu has insisted that the top goal scorer tag that Ariel Sibanda has so far now in the Bosso camp is normal because every player in the field has got the capability to score if given a chance.
The Bosso shot stopper and skipper has scored two goals from the penalty spot against Black Rhinos and ZPC Kariba so far this season, a feat that has seen him being the only Bosso player to score more than one goal.
'Everybody scores except for the substitute when they are seating on the bench with the technical team and for me I think it is normal for him to score. As long as he is given a chance to score he will continue to do so and he has done so well this season, scoring two penalties in as many games and also producing six clean-sheets. As long as he continues doing well in taking penalties, he will continue taking them and scoring,' said Madinda.
'Mangoye' as Sibanda is known by the Bosso faithful besides scoring two penalties has also saved an equal number spot kicks. This he did against Herentals and Harare City. If Mdawini continues on this path the golden glove award will certainly be his again at the end of the season.
Sibanda had this to say to Bosso fans on Twitter.
'A goalkeeper is as good as his team mates. The same can be said about a leader. 6/10 clean-sheets, two penalty saves and two goals, and above all, two consecutive league wins. Thank you team for this amazing character. To our lovely fans, we shall continue fighting for you,' he said.
Bosso have a date away to Yadah at Rufaro stadium this weekend before hosting long time arch rivals Dynamos at Barbourfields come next week.
