Blazers ready to continue winning

The defending champions of the Spar Bonsa T20 cricket league, Mermaid Pool Blazers have declared that they aim to defend the crown that they won last year.

The Blazers will kick off their campaign in a clash against Fazak Raptors in the last match of match day one tomorrow.

Team captain, Tanatswa Bechani said his team will do their best to defend their title and that his team is ready enough.

'We are ready enough to defend the trophy, our target is to continue where we left off from last year's edition and bringing a few additionals to our tactics game by game, everyone in our team is special,' Bechani said.

The batsman also encouraged Blazers supporters to come in their numbers, cheer the team up and help them retain the trophy.

The opening match of the tournament will see last year's runners up Badgers take on Tigers before Hawks entertain Sabres. The Blazers Raptors match will be the last game of the day.
