Former Highlanders utility player Bruce Kangwa has urged Amahlolanya supporters to rally behind the team.
“If the Highlanders supporters rally behind the way they did during our time, it will motivate the current crop of players to take the club to dizzy heights.
“Every time when we went to the stadium and we saw happy faces ,celebrating this motivated us and made us to work hard and if the fans can still do this to the current squad ,I bet Highlanders will win the championship” he added in an interview from his East African base.”
Kangwa who now plies his trade with Tanzanian side Azam also told Bosso T.V that Highlanders should not repeat their yesteryear’s mistake of not having adequate pre-season preparations.
“Highlanders need a good pre-season, last year they did not have adequate training before the season started and that affected them so much, though they managed to pick up their season mid-season.”
“I urge the players to be united, when players are united everything takes shape and the greatest ingredient of success is unity.”
Meanwhile Kangwa also heaped praises on his mentors Bekithemba Ndlovu, Richard Choruma, Sizabantu Khoza , Joel Lupahla and Kelvin Kaindu.
“I would like to thank Bekithemba Ndlovu, Richard Choruma, Sizabantu Khoza, Kelvin Kaindu and Joel Luphahla for being instrumental in my career.”
“We were always motivated by their presence because we knew they had championships and trophies in their closets”, these were his parting shots.
