The Sizinda wrestling and boxing bill has been postponed to next weekend after the murder of one of the participating boxers. According to national boxing instructor Steven Masiyambumbi the slain boxer was a soldier based in Harare.

'He was murdered by a gang of ten men who attacked him in Epworth surbub while he waited for transport,' Masiyambumbi told our reporter.

It is alleged that the suspects got into a misunderstanding with an unidentified person at a bar and four of them went out to arm themselves with knives.

The deceased met them and he inquired on what had transpired. The gang then quiried on why he wanted to know leading to them assualting him. One of them stabbed Ndanatsei Nyamukondwa on the ribs prompting him to collapse and the men fled the scene.

'Due to this incident, we have moved the tournament to next weekend because the postmortem will be done on Friday Masiyambumbi added.

The Sizinda wrestling and boxing bill was pencilled for the Sizinda South beer garden which is slowly turning into the unofficial home of Zimbabwean boxing.
