Zimbabwe boxing middleweight champion, Caroline Dube believes boxing tutors her to control herself and it also helps her stay fit as she is always training and eating healthy foods.
The 24 year middleweight boxer started boxing two years ago, she participated in the 2017 National Youth Games where she was a gold medalist in her category, she has eight fights in the country and has lost none of them.
Internationally she has fought thrice and brought a gold medal from the United Kingdom while winning another in Angola and winning silver in Mozambique.
'I chose boxing because its training teaches me to be disciplined and in terms of body weight it teaches me to be strong and focused. My wish is to become the next international middleweight champion and I am working very hard to achieve that dream and hopefully it will come true,' said the national champion.
During her spare time away from the ring, Dube likes swimming, she also likes reading novels and watching television.
Dube gave credit to her sponsor Emmanuel Dube and coach Anderson Sibanda for helping her in her career so far. Her favourite boxer is retired prize fighter Lennox Lewis who she said used to throw multiple jabs in the ring to weaken his opponents and that kept him ahead in points'
The middleweight champion also urged boxers and aspiring boxers especially women to train and pray hard in order to make life easy for them inside the squared circle.
'Always aim above and think ahead and let no one discourage you in achieving your dream,' she concluded.
