Caps United was unfortunate last season these are the words of the former Highlander and Caps mid-fielderGabriel “Granvia” Nyoni.

“It’squite painful to see them not winning the championship after such a good run during the season. I think it was more to do with just being unfortunate rather than mistakes they made. They were just unfortunate not win the league.”

Last season the green and white shirted boys finished second on the premier soccer league table after FC Platinum snatched the title from the Harare Giants at the eleventh hour, when it looked certain that they could bag the country’s most coveted prize.

Nyoni who is now playing his trade at South African P.S.L side Maritzburg United believes that even though the Green Machine was not able to grab the title last season, this season must be theirs.

“With the restructuring they are doing I see a good run from them this year again, they will be part of the top four.” Nyoni also revealed “I chose Caps United because l felt it is a club that has over the years have exported players"

“My target was to work hard and be noticed outside the country which is what ended up coming true,” added Nyoni.
