Davis Granite, Sizane Sports Fun Day Cancelled

The annual Davis Granite, Sizane Sports fun day has been canceled due to economic challenges crippling the country currently. The event was launched a decade ago in a move meant to prop up the less privileged children at the school.

Sports Coordinator for Davis Granite Veronica Stanley said.

'The event has been canceled due to the situation in the country so it is not on for this year, after 10 years of running, so sad.'

The sports gala included activities like soccer, netball, tug-of-war, darts, chess and volleyball, with a record total of 40 teams registering for participation in 2016.

All proceeds went to charity with the money contributing to buying uniforms, stationary as well as paying school fees for the less privileged and orphans of Sizane High School.
