The annual under 13 and 19 rugby football event that is held to honour the life of the late former Zimbabwe vice President Dr Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo is set to bounce back after a two year absence.

According to George “Rollo”,Mukoreva,a development officer with the Zimbabwe rugby union ,the initiative was last held in 2016.

“We are putting together a good package that will see our uninion revive a tournament that has been used over the years to both celebrate the life of father Zimbabwe and also develop grassroots talent,”Coach Rollo told our news crew.

Meanwhile the Zimbabwe Rugby union will also run a women’s rugby football festival at the same venue

“The older women will take part in the fifteens rugby while the school girls will take part in sevens rugby,”Coach Rollo added.
