GEMS Whizz Past Barbados

The Zimbabwe Netball National team the Gems beat Islanders Barbados 66-41 in the on going vitality Netball World Cup.

The Gems who have been having a fairy tale run at the tourney being held in Liverpool have to beat Malawi on Thursday in order to qualify for a top 8 finish.

The Gems coach told the media that he believes his charges were a giant in the making

"I was so confident that we were going to win (against Barbados), l can say we are raising our game and we are going to be one of the big guns a few years to come...we now know that everyone is beatable and anything can happen in the world cup."

Zimbabwe has so far beaten Sri Lanka, lost to Australia, beat Northen Ireland and lost to New Zealand at the on going world cup.
