Former Highlanders player Onwell Gombami is thinking of returning to the pitch after a season away from the beautiful game after his contract expired in December 2018.
Gombami told Next Level Sports T.V that he has started the hunt for a team before the 2020 season commences.
“I am currently hunting for a club. At the moment I have been training with Bulawayo Chiefs though I am not attached to their club.”
Gombami who is the young brother to the former Highlanders and warriors player Honor Gombami told our reporter that it pains him so much to see his age mates still playing whilst he is on the sidelines.
“Last year I tried my luck at Mushowani Stars Football Club but they did not sign me because they wanted a defender. This pains me a lot because other boys of my age are at the peak of their careers and there is no deal that is coming up for me.”
However he believes this season he will definitely don the colors of one of the big clubs in the country.
“I know that I will be able to sign with a big team this year. Next week I will be attending trials that will be conducted by Bulawayo Chiefs I know I will shine and I have been training with them since November last year and I am now well vexed with their philosophy,” added the former Bosso 90 skipper.
