Former Highlanders and Zimbabwe Saints hitman, Tobias Mudyambanje has said he wouldn't resist the Bosso coaching job if given a chance.
Mudyambanje played for Bosso since 1986 and played alongside the late Willard 'Mashinkila' Khumalo, Peter Nkomo, Netsai Moyo, Warriors assistant coach Rahman Gumbo, as well as the late Mercedes 'Rambo' Sibanda before he hung his boots in 1992.
Mudyambanje is currently involved with ZIFA Bulawayo Province Division Three Pool B side Bulawayo Saints Football Club where he is a development coach. "It is every coach's intention to manage Bosso and if given a chance, I would take the offer with both hands," Mudyambanje revealed.
He also gave some tips to the Bosso squad who last clinched the league title eleven years and are currently languishing in an unfamiliar position on the log standing.
"The secret to success is to practise those three 'Ds', that is discipline, dedication and devotion. You also have to add this in your training and always remember to do extra training on your own," he said.
Besides playing for Highlanders and Zimbabwe Saints, Mudyambanje also turned out for Monarch and Zimbabwe Colts both teams who are now defunct.
Mudyambanje singled out the Bosso 1986 outfit as his best team of all time, he also revealed his best match ever in the black and white giants.
"My best ever match with Highlanders is when I scored the winner in our triumph over our bitter rivals Dynamos. We won the match 2-1 in the Zifa Cup of 1986,' Mudyambanje said.
The 53 year old has also coached in the top flight league with Caps FC where he was with the likes of Chris Samakwere and Passmore Benard. Ziscosteel and Railstars are one of the teams coached by Mudyambanje. The former player applied for the post of Bosso assistant coach two seasons ago after the resignation of Amini Soma-Phiri when the Bulawayo giants were under Eroly Ekbay.
