THE Total Africa Cup of Nations 2019 roars into life today as host Egypt battle it out with the Warriors today in a match to be played at the giant Cairo International Stadium.

Zimbabwe will be keen to prove a point as they are labelled underdogs let alone being the lowest ranked side in a group that also includes Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo.

However they have to overpower the most successful team as far as the tournament is concerned, the Pharaohs hold a record seven titles since the tournament's inception 52 years ago.

Sunday Chidzambwa's men are appearing in the tourney for the fourth time in their history. Both teams were present in the previous edition when Zimbabwe failed to qualified to the knockout stages while the Pharaohs lost to eventual winners Cameroon 2-1 in the final in Gabon 2017.
