LADIES HANDBALL SIDE STORMS INTO SEMI-FINALS

THE NATIONAL womens handball under 20 team edged Botswana 46 to 6 in the on going International Handball Federation (IHF) challenge trophy that is taking place in Lusaka Zambia.
The Zimbabwe girls victory saw them qualify for the semi-finals of this show piece that is being used by Southern African Nations to finetune their charges ahead of the African games to be held in Morocco in August.
According to the Secretary General of the Zimbabwe Handball Federation Edson Chirowodza, the national under 20 womens team will face Madagascar at 5 pm today in the semi-finals: "Our womens under 17 team is currently taking on Malawi in a fifth place play off in a match that kicked off at 2pm."
The IHF challenge trophy 2019 features Zimbabwe, Zambia, Madagascar, Lesotho, Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Seychelles, Swaziland and Malawi.
The challenge trophy is for the junior team born on or after 1 January 1998 and the youth team born on or after 1 January 2000 -NEXT LEVEL SPORTS TV
