Fazo II dreams of Europe

By Mbekezeli Ncube
Highlanders defender Mbongeni Ndlovu dreams of furthering his career in Europe just like Marvelous Nakamba's recent move to Aston Villa.
'My target is to win the Premier League championships and other major silverware with Highlanders and then my dream is to go and play in Europe. However, I would like to come back and hang my boots at Bosso where my heart belongs,' Ndlovu said.
The 21 year old left back started his career at Lukhanyiso Primary School where he did his primary education. His friend Reward Muza who now plays as a goalkeeper for Bosso 90 introduced him to Ajax Hotspurs where he played for the under the 14s of the side with the likes of fellow teammate Denzel Khumalo, Nkosana Ndlovu and a player whom he labelled as his favourite player in Zimbabwe, Peter Mudhuwa.
'I went to join Highlanders under 16s where I was coached by Dumaza Dube and Gift Lunga. I was part of that dream team of the Highlanders under 18 that won the championship unbeaten, ' he said.
Ndlovu moved to the Highlanders Division Two side under Shephered Melusi Mabaleka Sibanda, a team that was promoted to the Southern Region Division One League. He played alongside Prince Mgadafi Dube and Brian Banda during that time.
'I would like to thank our former coach, Madinda Ndlovu who gave me a breakthrough to Highlanders' first team. I am adopting well to coach Lulu's system because nothing much has changed. Although he has his own type of play, a player has to adapt and follow the coach's instructions
Ndlovu also praised his fellow teammate, Mgadafi on his current form.
This comes after Mgadafi as Dube is affectionately known by soccer lovers scored the solitary goal that earned Bosso maximum points in a mid week clash against airmen Chapungu. This development came three days after the baby faced 20 year old struck thrice against Mauritius in the African Nations Championships (Chan) qualifiers.
'Am confident to say that Prince Dube is one of the best strikers I have ever played with. He proved that by scoring a hat trick for the Warriors which only a few players have managed to achieve for the national team,' Ndlovu said.
