It has only been 10 games since the beginning of the season in the Castle Larger Premier Soccer League and the 'always hard to impress' Bosso fans are already having their views on their team's current form of play and where they think the Bulawayo giants will be come end of the season.
Bosso kick started this season on a not so good note, they registered a win-less run of eight matches in first eight games picking six points out of possible 24, as if that was not enough, during those first games, the top goals scorer was goalkeeper and captain Ariel Sibanda with only one goal. Bosso registered their first win in a 1-0 away victory over new comers Tel One before clinching maximum points in a 2-0 win over ZPC Kariba with Sibanda again among the scorers.
A staunch Bosso supporter, Trust Ngwenya said he believes the team had now found its way back on track despite starting the season on a low level.
'In the beginning of the season Bosso's form was worrying, but now the boys are picking themselves up. I think we will finish the season in a much respectable position but we have to look at the following factors.
We know that the team is facing a financial situation but players must be given their money. We also have to be clinical enough in front of goal because we are missing a lot of goal scoring opportunities,' said Ngwenya
Ngwenya also encouraged the Madinda Ndlovu coached team to rally behind the club whether winning or losing and also urged fans to support the side-lines department.
Another Bosso fan, former coach of the now defunct Ntabazinduna Football Club and also coach of former premier league side Whawha Mkhulisi 'Coolio' Tshuma said.
'The boys started pre-season with a lot of in house fighting hence they kick started the season not that much ready. The team is full of young players, they will mature with game time. Looking at the brighter side, even other big teams like FC Platinum, Caps United, Ngezi Platinum and Chicken Inn have also lost a few games so as the season progresses the will gain confidence and start winning and maybe finish in top six.'
McMemory Sibanda had his views also,’ Our slow start means a lot, actually the boys now know their weaknesses so they have to work hard on them while it's still early. The good thing is that we haven't played with almost all those teams on top of us and the boys have the capability of collecting points against most of them. I think we will finish the season on top four.
According to Pardon Dube, if the players continue winning like they did in the last two games and try to collect points against ;giants' they will finish in a much respectable position and make the fans very happy.
Bosso is currently on position 14, one shy away from the relegation zone having claimed two wins five draws and three points, the results means the have 11 points
Another die hard Bosso fan, Nkululeko Mkhwananzi said in order for the team to finish in a much reputable position they have to start acting now.
'The league is still wide open, the boys need to focus and get results, they have to maintain their unbeaten run. Also for us to be in a respectable position we need to beat those teams that beat us earlier in the second half of the season, all what the boys need is determination and precision,' said Mkhwananzi.
However, some fans had other views on the current team's form.
"I doubt our current performance and form, a big team like Highlanders should be in a much better position by now yet they are fighting relegation. Not only that, in the 10 games they have played our top goal scorer is a goal keeper, which club does that. With all those draws we have made, it is clear that we lack strikers because most of our draws are goal less draws,’ said South African based Bekezela Ncube
