Mpopoma wins two more Golds

Mpopoma High School girls soccer team collected two more pieces of silverware over the last few days adding to the two they already have in their cabinet so far this year.

The Evans Netha coached school girls team captured the Destiny Inc Cup on Thursday and the Pierre's birthday bash on Friday pipping the likes of Ubuntu, Magwegwe, Street Set and Townsend for the top gongs.

In the Destiny Inc Cup that was played at Luveve High School, Mpopoma saw off the challenge of Magwegwe High by goal to nil in the semifinals to meet Ubuntu who had defeated Street Set one nil in the ;other semi-final. The Mpopoma High School girls went on to beat Ubuntu three nil to capture the Destiny Inc girls trophy. On Friday the 30th of August, Mpopoma beat Townsend three nil to book a place in the finals against Magwegwe who had beaten Street Set by a goal to nil.

In the final Mpopoma recovered from a goal down to be crowned Pierre's birthday Champions.
