Adelaide Muskwe brings some much needed experience to the Gems team, she is a speedy defender who plays for Severn Stars in the United Kingdom's Super league.

It hasn't been the smoothest start for the Zimbabwe team named their final squad on the 3rd of July, only nine days before the start of the tournament.

Competing in their first World Cup, the Lloyd Makunde's team has a lot to play for as they were grouped with the world number one and defending champions Australia. They will also lock horns with Northern Ireland and Sri Lanka in their Group A matches.

The squad consists of Sharon Bwanali, Pauline Jani, Rudo Karume, Felistus Kwangwa, Claris Kwaramba, Ndaizivei Madzikangava, Sharleen Makusha, Patricia Malaudi, Adelaine Muskwe, Ursula Ndlovu, Perpetua Siyachitema (c), Joyce Takaidza.
