The Warriors fought their way through to claim their ticket and qualify for the second time on the bounce. Zimbabwe marked their debut in 2004 in Tunisia. staging yet another appearance in 2006 in Egypt. Their next stop will be in Gabon in 2017.

Key facts

-Zimbabwe are participating in their fourth Africa Cup of Nations tournament, failing to make it out of the group stage in each of their previous editions.

-Zimbabwe have qualified for successive Afcon tournaments for the first time since their debut two participations in the competition when they qualified in 2004 and 2006.

-Zimbabwe did not qualify for the 2019 Afcon until the last match day of qualifying, although they finished top of their group with 11 points, three wins, two draws and one loss.
