Rugby Academy for Rural Manicaland

Honde Valley based, Sahumani Secondary School have ambitious plans to install world class rugby facilities at the school as part of the recently established rugby academy. The rural school recently contributed three national team players in the form of Agnes Rori, Mary Dirwa and Mavis Zunga. The school was one of the Cinderella stories at the recently held Dairibord rugby schools festival that was held in Harare.


At the festival they lost 25-5 to Girls High Harare, beat Harare High 46-0 and drew nil all versus Roosevelt. The school's headmaster Moses Nyamukungwa told the media that the school was developing proper facilities at the school in preparation for the establishment of the academy.
