Spar Bonsa T20 tournament review.

Defending champions Mermaid Pool Blazers tasted yet another defeat in the Spar Bonsa T20 Cricket League as they lost by 8 wickets in the hands of Fastjet Badgers last weekend.


Mermaid Pool Blazers batted first and hit 139-9 in 20 overs but that was not enough as Fastjet Badgers recorded 140 runs for 3 wickets in 19 overs.


National Fencing Tigers locked horns with Pepsi Hawks. After 20 overs, the Tigers recorded 121-6 before Pepsi Hawks hit 122-4 in 17 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.


Fazak Power Raptors were handed their first defeat of the tournament as they lost by 15 runs in the hands of Canela Sabres. Canela Sabres chose to bat first and their 143 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs guaranteed them victory when Raptors recorded 129-9 in 20 overs.


Pepsi Hawks won their second match of the weekend when they defeated defending champions Memaid Pool Blazers by 55 runs. Pepsi Hawks recorded 193-3 in 20 overs and Mermaid Pool Blazers hit 138-7 in 20 overs.


In a game pitting National Fencing Tigers and Fazak Power Raptors, National Fencing Tigers were bowled all out for 85 runs in 17.5 overs and Fazak Power Raptors recorded 87-7 in 19.2 overs to win the match by 3 wickets.


Fastjet Badgers and Canela Sabres rounded up last weekend's matches. In their 20 overs, Fastjet Badgers hit 124 runs in 7 wickets and Canela Sabres lost the match by 11 runs after recording 113-9 in 20 overs.
