Children turn to drugs and sexual misconduct due to lack of recreational activities.

This was said by the Themabalethu Programmes Manager,Talent Ncube ahead of the sports oriented organisation’s rebranding exercise.

Thembalethu which is a foundation that was formed by United Kingdom based Kelvin Marley has over the years promoted sports amongst young people especially young girls.

“After realising that VUZU parties usually occur on the first weekend of schools closing as a result of young people having a lot of time on their hands to do mischief, our organisation which will now be called Hope Through Sports will host massive sports events around that time,”Ncube told Next Level Sports tv.

Hope Through Sports under their previous name Thembalethu Foundation were the title sponsor of the Southern Region women’s soccer league last season.

Kelvin Marley their founder is a former Highlanders Football club player who is currently involved with Filabusi United Project in Insiza.
