After the suspension of its managing director Givemore Makoni, Zimbabwe Cricket has appointed former Zimbabwe international cricketer Vincent Hogg to fill in the position as an interim managing director.
Hogg (66) previously saved on the same role in 2002 before stepping down in two years later. His predecessor was suspended by the Sports and Recreation Commission together with the board led by Tavengwa Mukhuhlani.
The SRC board was led by Gerald Mlotshwa, a lawyer who made Hogg's appointment last evening.
The SRC also revealed that the newly appointed interim cricket board led by Dave Ellman had been invited by the International Cricket Council for presentation at its meeting in London on the 18th of July.
As a player, Hogg played two One Day Internationals for the country in the 1983 Cricket Wold Cup.
After his retirement, he was appointed in the administration and his role since 2002 had been to oversee the development and smooth running of the game in the country.
